Let’s break down the entourage effect, THC and CBD may be the celebrities of the cannabis world, but they aren't necessarily working alone. A 2020 scientific review published in Current Neuropharmacology examined the potential interactions between cannabinoids and terpenes, particularly their possible relevance to mood and anxiety disorders.

We sat down with Edgar Kleydman, CEO of Brooklyn’s own Kaya Bliss (Kaya, the Jamaican slang word for marijuana), to talk about building a cannabis business around something that can’t always be measured in numbers: community. Coming from the traditional world of finance and corporate business, Edgar took a very different approach to legal cannabis retail. At Kaya Bliss, he says, the focus isn't simply on transactions or sales, but on the individual people walking through the door.

The munchies are one of flower's most famous side effects, and unlike a lot of stoner lore, there's actual science behind this one. THC interacts with the body's endocannabinoid system and, particularly, CB1 receptors involved in appetite, smell, reward and feeding behavior. The Wrong Girls, written and directed by Dylan Meyer, and produced by NEON (Anora, Anatomy of a Fall, Longlegs) stars Kristen Stewart and Alia Shawkat as codependent stoner besties living paycheck to paycheck/bong rip to bong rip who get themselves caught in a pickle over a case of mistaken identity that throws their lives into chaos. We were so stoked when NEON offered us a chance to screen the film early so we could tell you about it!
