Introducing Freshly Baked Company: An Edible Brand Started by Veterans Suffering from PTSD with a Mission to Help Fellow Veterans Have Access to the Healing Powers of the Plant.

Freshly Baked was founded in 2018 by disabled veterans Philip Smith and Jenny Roseman who found cannabis to be an effective way of managing PTSD associated with their service to our country. Philip is a service connected Marine combat veteran who served in Iraq while Jenny who was an Air Force Medic, is also a service connected veteran and 9/11 first responder at the Pentagon. The gummy recipe that they forged in their kitchen to help them sleep at night is the base of the Freshly Baked gummy today.

Motivated by their experience with cannabis, they aspired to start a cannabis company that could help others who suffer from PTSD and thus Freshly Baked Company was born. Their main goal was to bring access to cannabis medicine to other people and specifically to veterans. Freshly Baked received it’s provisional state licenses for cultivation and manufacturing in 2019, and has been off to the races ever since.

Freshly Baked Company is a vertically integrated social equity company in the state of Massachusetts whose mission is to give back to the community, help fellow veterans, bring access to cannabis, and lead the expansion of social equity company participation in adult use cannabis in Massachusetts and beyond. They are currently the number 8 gummy in the state of Massachusetts, a huge feat considering they are a micro-cannabis Mom and Pop shop going toe to toe with large heavily funded multi-state operators.
