How to Make a Ginger & Lime THC Cocktail with Hi5 Cannabis Infused Seltzer

I gotta say, I love a cannabis cocktail. As a former bartender, I also love the art of mixology, but what I don’t love is the hangovers that come with a night of drinking. With THC infused drinks, you never have to worry about feeling terrible the next day and that’s something I’ve truly come to appreciate.

Lately, I love bringing Hi5 Cannabis Infused Seltzers along with me to parties instead a 6-pack or liquor. I love the social aspect of Hi5’s seltzer line and the flavors (which are seasonal) and the fact that they are made with zero-sugar using natural ingredients.

On a recent trip to Boston, Massachusetts to find The Best Cannabis Products in MA, I wanted to impress my friends so I created a riff on a Moscow Mule using Hi5 Cannabis Infused Seltzer in the flavor lime. I am sharing the recipe for this THC laced drink below so you can make it at home. You can also watch this IG Reel to learn how to make this “cannabis cocktail” or you can just get the full recipe below.

Ginger & Lime Infused Cannabis Cocktail Recipe

You Will Need:

  • A Cocktail Shaker

  • Ice

  • 1 Hi5 Cannabis Infused Seltzer in Lime

  • .5 oz Mint Syrup (recipe below)

  • .5 oz Ginger Tea (recipe below)

  • .5 oz Lime Juice (freshly squeezed)

  • Lime Wedge or fresh mint for garnish

  • Large Ice Cube

First, you will need to juice the limes if you are using fresh lime juice, then you will need to create a ginger tea (recipe below) and the mint syrup (recipe below). Set these three ingredients aside as you add a handful of ice to the cocktail shaker. next add the mint syrup, ginger tea and fresh lime juice to the shaker. Place the lid on the shaker and shake for about thirty seconds. Strain the mixture into a glass with a large ice cube in it. Top with Hi5 Cannabis Infused Seltzer in Lime and garnish with a lime wheel or mint sprig. Cheers and enjoy my fellow cannabis lovers.

Mint Syrup Recipe

You will need:

Equal parts:

  • Fresh Mint

  • Granulated Sugar

  • Hot Water

Using a french press, or just a heat resistant glass, add equal parts mint, sugar and hot water. Stir, and let cool. I love to use this mint syrup in a number of mocktails, cocktails and lemonades. You can be creative with this versatile mint syrup and if you store it in a sealed glass container it will last 7 days in the fridge.

Ginger Tea Recipe

You will need:

  • A french press or strainer

  • 2-3 knobs of Fresh Ginger, peeled and chopped

  • 2 cups Boiling Water

Place the chopped ginger into a french press or a pan, pour boiling water over the top and close with a lid. Let steep for 30-40 mins. Strain and let cool. This is a great tea to add to your morning ritual, I like to take a shot of leftover ginger tea in the am when I make it. It will last about 7 days in the fridge in a sealed glass container.
