Why Herstory?

According to historian Bettany Hughes, women’s history makes up only .5% of the historical dialogue. Herstory is just history from a female-perspective and we promise, it won’t bite you. When we say women, we want to be clear that we mean all female-identifying individuals.

Do you hate men?

No. Our goal is to create space for women in a historically male dominated world, not hate on men. In fact, our production company’s co-founder identifies as male and is a valued voice on our team. Since gender is a societal construct anyway and the simplistic notion that are only two genders (research in neurology, endocrinology, and cellular biology all points to a broader biological basis for an individual’s experience of gender) let’s all just be kind and listen to other’s perspectives.
